Doug Welty handles cases for individuals,
churches, clubs, and similar organizations whose free speech is being
denied or curtailed by state or local government officials or government
bodies in Virginia. (Government officials and bodies include not only
boards of supervisors and similar officials of localities, but also the
faculty, administrators, and governing boards of public K-12 schools and
public colleges and universities.)
Such free speech restrictions are, unfortunately,
especially common today at public schools and universities, even in
Virginia. Restrictions usually take the form of relegating religious
clubs or associations, or other groups holding unfashionable or
"politically incorrect" views, to a sort of second-class
status, denying them funds and the use of facilities made available to
those holding more favored viewpoints.
If this has happened to you, or to your church,
club, or association, please call or email
Mr. Welty to arrange for a consultation.
Doug Welty is an Allied Attorney of the Alliance

causes of religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and traditional

decision in Demmon v. Loudoun County
School Board, a Virginia federal court case that Mr. Welty won
involving religious speech.
