I handle a limited number of cases for individuals, churches, clubs, and similar organizations whose free speech is being denied or curtailed by state or local government officials or government bodies in Virginia.
(Government officials and bodies include not only boards of supervisors and similar officials of localities, but also the faculty, administrators, and governing boards of public K-12 schools and public colleges and universities.)
Free speech restrictions and “speech codes” are, unfortunately, especially common today at public schools and universities, even in Virginia. Restrictions usually take the form of relegating religious clubs or associations, or other groups holding unfashionable or “politically incorrect” views, to a sort of second-class status, denying them funds and the use of facilities made available to those holding more favored viewpoints.
If this has happened to you, or to your church, club, or association, please call or email me to arrange for a consultation.
I am (among my other roles) a member of the Alliance Defending Freedom Attorney Network Honor Corps. ADF and its allies are dedicated to advancing the causes of religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and traditional family values.
